4/25/19 Third Meeting with 5th Graders!
Today we had our third dinner meeting with our Joyland 5th graders, and it was nothing short of awesome!
First, we want to thank Audrey’s mom (배은아 집사님) for cooking us all a delicious dinner and for opening her home to host our meeting!
The main topic of our third meeting was, “Recognizing God’s Voice.” Since there are many “voices” we hear that direct and guide our choices in life, it is vital that we seek to listen to the one voice that speaks truth and is from the One who wants the best for us - God’s! Just as people speak based on their character, what they believe, and what is in their heart, God also speaks based on his character! Therefore, it is important that we learn about God’s character; what pleases him and how he calls us to live!
Before learning about HOW God speaks to us, we must know that God will never speak against his character and what we find in the bible!
Although we do not literally “hear” God’s voice, we can know his will for us as we do the following:

Read and meditate on the Bible (it’s God’s Word!) - QT time

Pray and rely on the Holy Spirit!

Listen to wisdom from other Godly people (with careful discernment!) - praying & reading the bible are MUCH more reliable and encouraged!
We played two games called “What did you say?” and “Recognize”.
For “What did you say?”, students took turns for 2 minutes each trying to communicate as many phrases to another student wearing headphones playing loud music. It was such a funny game for all of us!
For “Recognize”, students took turns walking through the living room blindfolded while listening for “God’s voice” to lead them. In doing so, they wanted to avoid stepping on pink index cards with various “sins” on them. In order to walk through the living room and avoid the pink “sin” cards, they would have to rely on their hearing to listen for “God’s voice” and obey his commands in order to step on yellow cards representing variables of the abundant life. This was a fun intro game to discuss the importance of learning to hear God’s voice clearly!

오늘 저희는 Joyland 5 학년 학생들과 3 번째 저녁 미팅을 가졌고 정말 즐거운 시간 이였습니다!
먼저, 저희를 위해 맛있는 저녁 식사를 준비하고 집을 open 해준 Audrey 엄머님 (배은아 집사님) 에게 다시 한번 감사드립니다!
밤의 main topic은 "하나님의 음성 인식 하기" 이였습니다. 우리는 삶의 방향을 결정하고 인도하는 많은 "목소리"를 듣기 때문에 진리를 말하는 한 목소리에 귀 기울여야 합니다. 그목소리는 바로 우리를 가장 사랑하는 하나님의 목소리 입니다! 사람들이 자신의 성격, 믿는 것, 그리고 마음 속에있는 것에 대해 말하는 것처럼, 하나님도 그의 성품을 기반으로 말씀하십니다! 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 성품에 대해 배우는 것이 중요합니다; 어떻게하면 하나님을 기쁘게 만들고 하나님이 우리를 어떻게 살도록 부름을 하는지.
하나님이 우리에게 어떻게 말씀하는지 배우기 전에, 우리는 하나님이 그의 성품과 우리가 성경에서 찾은 것에 대해 결코 반대로 말하지 않을 것을 알아야합니다!
우리가 말 그대로 "하나님의 음성"을 듣지는 않지만, 우리는 다음과 같이 우리를 향한 그의 뜻을 알 수 있습니다:

다른 Godly한 사람들에게서 지혜에 귀를 기울여 라 (신중한 분별력으로!) 기도하고 성경을 읽는 것이 훨씬 더 신뢰할 수 있습니다!
우리는 "뭐라고하셨습니까?"와 "인식하기"라는 두 가지 게임을했습니다. "뭐라고 했니?"라는 게임에서, 학생들이 시끄러운 음악을 틀고있는 헤드폰을 착용하고 있던 다른 학생에게 2 분 동안 많은 구를 전달하려고 노력했습니다. 너무 웃기고 재미있는 게임이였어요!
"인식하기"라는 게임에서, 학생들은 눈을 가리고있는 상태에서 거실을 걸어 다니며 "하나님의 음성"을 듣고 자기들을 이끌어 가기 위해 진정한 "하나님의 음성을" 찾아야 했습니다. 그렇게하면서, 그들은 다양한 "죄"가있는 분홍색 색인 카드를 밟는 것을 피하고자했습니다. 거실을 걸어 다니며 분홍색 "죄"카드를 피하기 위해 그들은 풍부한 삶의 변수를 나타내는 노란 카드를 밟기 위해 "하나님의 음성"을 듣고 그의 명령에 순종해야했습니다. 이것은 하나님의 음성을 분명히들을 수있는 학습의 중요성을 이야기하는 재미있는 소개 게임이었습니다!
